Dessy Chia the Dog needs a home
I'm so lucky!
Dessy Chia was born around December 9, 2006 and weighs about 8 lbs. We can't explain how much we love this dog and how she makes us laugh! She is ADORABLE and we are so very thankful her previous humans had to move to a no pet rental. She came from a nearby town that many of our dogs come from and it's very poverty stricken. She was in a terrible environment that was likely being condemned. The flea dirt on her little boy was so thick that it looked like he had black skin until we started to run warm water over her. It took him a couple of days to feel better and show her true personality, but then it came out full force. We were warned repeatedly by her previous owner that she doesn't like humans and hides when they are around. Alrighty then, we have one of the most social and FUNNY little Chihuahua mixes that we've seen in a long time and she's WONDERFUL with us and all the other dogs. Dessy was living in misery!!!! We don't know about kids yet since we don't have any, but this dog adores her humans and her dog friends. We did do a dental on Dessy but because she lived for so long in such poor conditions you may need to do more. We like to always warn that with these tiny dogs they often benefit from having potty floor pads handy at all times.

Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
